Marek Biskup
From Google
Marek is a software engineer at Google working on Cloud Functions - a serverless cloud platform. Before Google, he worked for 7 years at 9LivesData on the enterprise secondary storage system NEC HYDRAstor, leading the team that brought source side deduplication to the market. And during a yearly rendezvous with CERN, Marek worked was involved in parallelization of ROOT, a data analysis framework for LHC. Marek holds master degrees in Computer Science and Physics (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and University of Warsaw), and a PhD in Computer Science (UW) for research on lossless data compression. Marek enjoys running, salsa dancing and cooking.
Serverless computing with Google Cloud Functions
Google Cloud Functions is a lightweight compute solution for developers to create single-purpose, stand-alone functions that respond to Cloud events without the need to manage a server or runtime environment. In this talk, I will show you how Cloud Functions can help you build simple yet efficient applications or integrate your systems.
